As I understand it, the battery icon on the remote is the somewhat vague guide to how full the charge is. From what the manual says about charging, it appears that the intended use is that you replace the remote in the charging cradle when not in use, so as to keep it fully charged.
I've got the same issue with my harmony one. I place it in the cradle, the large battery icon shows up with no animations My old used to animate from 1 bar to 3 bars while charging. How long should it take for the harmony one to fully charge? I cant find this info in the instruction manual but I would of thought overnight would be more than enough.
The proper battery icon is very small and in the upper right hand corner Once charged, the battery icon will be fully green and drop from there. Looks like i've got a faulty unit. This graphic doesn't change and isn't meant to change. The real battery charge indicator is shown in the upper right corner of the remote only when it is removed from the cradle. It would however make much more sense, IMHO, to have the icon on the screen while in the cradle to show actual charge. Maybe they'll do that in a future SW upgrade. Hi What please is exactly the purpose of the large whitish blue light on the actual charging stand?
I would assume to show that power is going to the charging base. By the way, this is the first Harmony remote I've truly been impressed with.
