What is a natural item? A natural material is any product or physical matter that comes from plants, animals, or the ground. Minerals and the metals that can be extracted from them without further modification are also considered to belong into this category. Natural materials are used as building materials and clothing. Are trees man made? Essentially, a man-made forest is exactly what it sounds like — a forest that didn't naturally occur, but rather was planted by humans in order to create a new forest or replenish an existing one.
As with many man-made forests, the impetus for planting trees was more economical and industrial in nature. Is plastic man made? Plastic is an example of a man made material. Plastic is made when people combine carbon with oxygen or sulfer natural materials and then put those materials through chemical processes and heat.
This chemical process is what makes plastic man made. What are the human made resources? Human made resources are the resources made by mankind by using natural resources for their needs. Examples are paper, cloth, books, etc. What are natural and man made things?
We know, natural things include living things and some non-living things. Things like humans, animals and plants that have life are known as living things. Things like water, mud, stones, etc.
All man-made things are non-living because they do not have life. What are examples of synthetic materials? Examples of synthetic polymers include nylon, polyethylene, polyester, Teflon, and epoxy. Natural polymers occur in nature and can be extracted. Tell students to make a list of the positive and negative effects of these items on our society today. Do these items make it easier to live today or years ago in the same place? What natural resources do we still use and how do we use them?
These are good questions that will help students develop research skills to better understand the Spanish influence on the Native Americans in several ways. If interested, you may have a ranger from Petroglyph National Monument present the Spanish Colonial trunk to the students before they begin examining the important influences of metal in the Native American and Spanish cultures.
